A companion print to Watts and Jukes' A View of Margate Pier and the Two Sisters. (See 35374) Francis Jukes (1745 - 1812) was a British engraver and watercolourist. Jukes was a very early specialist in aquatint, a skill which he learnt from Paul Sandby. Simon Watts (1767 - 1787) was a British printmaker and publisher. Condition: trimmed within platemark, with some discolouration along right margin. |
