Sir Charles Hardy (c.1714 - 1780) was Commander-in-Chief, North Atlantic; a post that included that of Governor of New York. In 1759, he married Catharine Stanyan, the daughter of the politician Temple Stanyan. Through Catherine, he inherited Rawlins Manor (Woodcote Manor) in Oxfordshire. Robert Stewart was a British mezzotint engraver and publisher active in London between 1776 and 1786. He had premises at 287, near Great Turnstile, Holborn (1779); and at No 2, Newman's Row, (near Great Turnstile), Lincoln's Inn Fields (1786). Chaloner Smith 442/6, Lennox-Boyd i/i, O'Donoghue 6 Ex.
