Edward Paxman Brandard (1819-1898) was a British engraver, etcher, illustrator and painter of architectural monuments. He was the brother of the landscape engraver Robert Brandard and of the lithographer John Brandard to whom he was apprenticed while living in Islington, London. Several of his plates appeared in the Art Journal between 1853 and 1887. William Henry Bartlett (1809 - 1854) was a British landscape artist famous for his views of all parts of the world, which appeared in a series of travel volumes issued in the nineteenth century. |
