Portrait of Francis White, when Dean of Carlisle, half length in an oval, aged 59, wearing skull-cap, ruff and robes, seated at a desk writing in a book; coat of arms above, and decorated frame; frontispiece to his 'Reply to Jesuit Fisher' (London, 1624). Francis White, Bishop of Ely (c. 1564 - 1638) Thomas Cockson (fl.1591 - 1636), Draughtsman and engraver, worked in London. Only known from his surviving plates. O'Donoghue 1, Hind I.251.25.
