Plate 2 of Bury's Coloured Views on the Liverpool & Manchester Railways 2nd Edition, 1833 (Abbey Life 400). Major Abbey thought this was the second state of the plate with the only the date altered. In reality, the finished station was so different from that depicted in Pyall's plate in the first edition that the plate had to altered to show the finished second chimney, balustrading and crenellations.
