A view of Exmouth with fishing boats and men in the foreground with the town in the background from William Finden's The Ports, Harbours, Watering-Places, and Coast Scenery of Great Britain. William Finden (1787 - 1852) was an English engraver. Based in London, he mainly worked in collaboration with his younger brother, the engraver Edward Francis Finden (1791-1857). James Duffield Harding (1798 - 1863) was a British draughtsman, watercolourist, topographer, lithographer, etcher and landscape painter. Born in Deptford, he exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1810 onwards. |
