Frontispiece from a series of decorative landscape views by Georg Herman, published in 1595. Georg Herman (1579-1603) was the son of goldsmith and printmaker Stephan Herman who taught him the trade. Most of his works are ornamental, such as motifs and patterns that were likely used as inspiration for decoration engravings and metalwork. Condition: Strong impression. Slight overall time toning. Trimmed within margins. |
