A delicate etching of a congregation entering Hampnett Church in the Cotswolds. Title, signature and date to plate in bottom right corner. Also signed in pencil below image. L. Russell Conway (born 1882 and fl. 1920's) was an illustrator. Little is known about him, but he fought in WWI with the 5th Battalion Essex Regiment in the Dardanelles. Condition: Toning to sheet. |
