Notes | Nicholson was a friend of Edmund Blampied. Both were students at the London County Council Art School where they learned etching and engraving. Blampied shared a house with Nicholson and his wife in South London for some considerable time and during this period the two artists worked closely together. They shared a common enthusiasm for horses and farm animals and they developed similar styles. |
