Inscribed beneath image with seven lines of Latin text. Hollstein 100d Hugo Friedrich von Eltz (1597-1658) was the canon of Mainz and Trierr, Archdeacon of St. Peter, 1645. He was the main envoy of the Elector of Trier the Peace of Westphalia in Münster. Pieter de Bailliu I (b.1613) was a Flemish engraver. Born in Antwerp in 1613, he studied engraving in his home town and in Italy. He returned to Antwerp in around 1637, and from 1640 to 1660 engraved many works after Flemish masters. Anselmus or Anselm van Hulle (c.1601-1674) was a Flemish painter. From the 1640s he worked as portrait painter to Prince Frederick Henry of Orange Condition: Trimmed to left image margin. |
