Antonius Wierix (1555/9-1604) was a Flemish printmaker and publisher, and member of the famous Antwerp Wierix family who made engravings after well known artists, including Albrecht Durer. His brothers Jan and Hieronymous were also engravers.

Marten de Vos (1532-1603), was a leading Antwerp painter and draughtsman in the late sixteenth century. Like Frans Floris, he travelled to Italy and adopted the mannerist style popular at the time. He was also highly influenced by Venetian painting, and might have worked in the studio of Tintoretto. Following the iconoclastic destruction in 1566, he was one of the artists largely responsible for redecorating churches with new altarpieces in Antwerp. Many of these, such as St. Luke Painting the Virgin (1602), painted for the Guild of St. Luke in the Antwerp Schilderkamer, and the Marriage at Cana (1597), painted for the Wine Merchants Guild, were commissioned by leading Antwerp institutions. De Vos was also the founder of The Romanists, a society which brought together artists, connoisseurs and humanists who had travelled to Rome and appreciated its culture.

Gerard de Jode (1509/1517 - 1591) was an engraver, mapmaker and publisher. Born at Nijmegen, he was active in Antwerp from 1547. He published numerous maps, many of which were engraved by the brothers Johannes and Lucas Doetecum. He received a printing privilege in 1551. De Jode published many engravings by Johannes Wierix, Harmen Muller, Adriaen Collaert and Johannes Sadeler; and after Flemish designers such as Maarten de Vos and Ambrosius Francken. His greatest project was a set of Bible illustrations published under the title Thesaurus Veteris et Novi Testamenti in 1585. After his death his widow continued the business.
