A young woman, dressed in eastern costume, reclines against a large cushion. Upon her lap is an open book which pictures two near-naked fairies embracing. Behind, a peacock perches upon a stone balustrade, and a staircase leads down to a garden. In the distance, the sea is visible. Listed under 'New Engravings' in Bent's Monthly Literary Advertiser and Register of Enrgavings, Works on the Fine Arts, &c., Janurary 10, 1834. Ex.Col.: Hon. Christopher Lennox-Boyd.
