A scarce plate with a lithographic transfer map of Oxfordshire in the centre surrounded by a decorative green and floral boarder. Whilst similar in style to maps produced at this time by John Cary, the map does not match any know published series. The map of the county illustrates important roads and turnpikes. Condition: Ccrack repaired with metal staples, barely visible on front. |
