Inscription reads: 'From an Original Drawing of J. Mortimer, in the Collection of Richard Payne Knight Esqr. to whom this Plate is most humbly Inscribed, by His much oblig'd, and most obedient Servant.' The original drawing is now part of the British Musuem collection. Robert Blyth (c. 1750 - 1784) was a reproductive etcher and associate of John Hamilton Mortimer, after whom he made many etchings Sunderland 87a Ex.Col.: Hon. Christopher Lennox-Boyd Condition: Light foxing, small tears and creases to margins. |
