Inscription beneath image reads: This sketch gives an illustration of the effect of such a bridge across the Thames at Hungerford Market, with a single span of 1100 feet, at a height of 40 feet from the low water. Two columns of text on verso by Angelo Sedley, describing the bridge: Sedley's Patent Iron Bridge, / For Crossing Rivers and Valleys at One Span, At Any Height or Any Width, Up to 1500 Feet, Without / the Aid of Intermediate Piers, Or Support of Any Kind. [...] The MODEL can be inspected at 210, Regent Street, W., London, between the hours of 10 a.m., and 6 p.m, / on presenting card and address. / Angelo Sedley, (Inventor and Patentee.)
