Scarce outline Proof. Charles Grignion (1717 - 1810), son of the clock-maker Daniel Grignion, was an engraver of French origin but worked and died in England. According to Saur he was born 1717, (older authorities give birthdate as 1721). Grignion was very active in the middle decades of the century. Condition: Crease to the top left hand corner just inside plate. |
