A view of the city of Worcester with the spires if the cathedral and churches all visible, two men with rifles in the foreground. Anthony Walker (1726-1765) British printmaker and painter draughtsman working in London. Jean Baptiste Chatelain (11 July 1710 - 1758) French printmaker, draughtsman of topographical subjects. Chatelain was of Hugenot parentage and worked in a lived in London until his death in 1758. Condition: Minor creasing, old tape stains in margins and verso, blue ink in lower right margin neither affecting the plate or image, repaired tear upper left margin not affecting the plate. |
