A view of the city of Worcester with the spires if the cathedral and churches all visible, two men with rifles in the foreground. Anthony Walker (1726-1765) British printmaker and painter draughtsman working in London. Jean Baptiste Chatelain (11 July 1710 - 1758) French printmaker, draughtsman of topographical subjects. Chatelain was of Hugenot parentage and worked in a lived in London until his death in 1758. Condition: Laid to an early 19th century light card album page, small mark in the sky above the church steeples in the image, otherwise excellent. |
