Portrait of Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford (1593 - 1641). Fauconnier was a French lithographer active between 1822 and 1850. he is best known for his prints of theatre costumes. Sir Anthony Van Dyck (1599 - 1641) was a Flemish artist who became the leading court painter in England. He is most famous for his portraits of Charles I of England and his family and court. Appointed court painter by Charles I of England in 1632, he was knighted later the same year. Langlume was a French printer and publisher of lithographs based at 4 rue de l'Abbaye, Paris between 1819 and 1830. Condition: Overall foxing to sheet. |
