Richard Redgrave (30 April 1804 - 14 December 1888) was well-known in his day as a painter, but is now remembered as the first principal of the Government School of Design, now the Royal College of Art. He was a founder-member of the Etching Club and was its secretey until 1845. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and at the Royal Institute (previously the New Water-colour Society).

Condition: large 275 x 90 mm waterstain on the bottom left of sheet slightly affecting plate. Foxing in margins only slightly affecting image
